The complexeng of Ca(II), Co(II), and Zn(II) by polymethacrylic and polyacrylic acid

, 2007
An experimental method proposed for the accurate estimate of the nonideal behavior of metal ions in the course of their complexation by polyacids has been shown to be valid.

The degradation of polymethacrylic acid by ultra-violet and X-irradiation

, 1958
The kinetics of photolysis of hydrogen peroxide in the presence of propionic, trimethyl acetic, and polymethacrylic acid show that all the hydroxyl radicals produced in the primary step react with the acids in the experimental conditions used ...

Spectrophotometric titration of polymethacrylic acid

Journal of Polymer Science Part C: Polymer Symposia, 1967
AbstractOptical density measurements were performed on aqueous solutions of polymethacrylic acid (PMA) at different degrees of neutralization with NaOH, both in the presence and absence of added Na2SO4; the wavelength region studied was 188–250 mμ. The data could be consistently interpreted in terms of an equilibrium between two conformational states ...

Preparation of Polyvinyl Acetate Latexes Using Polymethacrylic Acid Surfactant Mixtures: Locus of the Polymethacrylic Acid

1980
Polymethacrylic acid functions as a protective colloid in the emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate, particularly in combination with anionic-nonionic surfactants. The combination of polymethacrylic acid and a nonylphenolethoxylate ester of phosphoric acid gives high-solids latex which shows excellent stability to mechanical shear and reezing-and ...

Influence of the Drug and Ezcipient Solubility on the Antibiotic Release from Polymethacrylic Implants

, 1988
Polymethacrylic implants were prepared by use the monomer (KallocrylR) and a polymerization extrusion technique. The antibiotics used were gentamicine, streptomycine and chloramphenicol.

Complex formation between polymethacrylic acid and polyacrylamide

Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1982
Abstract Complex formation between polymethacrylic acid and polyacrylamide in aqueous solutions has been investigated by IR-spectroscopy and elemental analysis, and by viscometry and potentiometric titration. It is shown that, in terms of units of the polymeric components, a complex product of equimolar composition is obtained.

Modification of track membranes with grafted polymethacrylic acid

Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2014
Track membranes modified by the irradiation-chemical method with polymethacrylic acid were studied. Grafted chains of polymethacrylic acid were impregnated with silver ions. The optimal parameters and conditions of the post-irradiation grafting of methacrylic acid were determined.

Interfacial Rheology of Hydrogen-Bonded Polymer Multilayers Assembled at Liquid Interfaces: Influence of Anchoring Energy and Hydrophobic Interactions.

Langmuir, 2016
We study the 2D rheological properties of hydrogen-bonded polymer multilayers assembled directly at dodecane-water and air-water interfaces using pendant drop/bubble dilation and the double-wall ring method for interfacial shear.

The dissociation and specific viscosity of polymethacrylic acid

Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas, 1950
AbstractSolutions of polymethacrylic acid have been partially neutralized to different extents, and the pH values and viscosities of the resulting solutions determined. These measurements were carried out at several different potassium chloride concentrations, and on several polymer samples.

Structure of graft copolymers of polycaproamide with polymethacrylic acid

Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1990
Abstract Electron microscopy and electron-probe microanalysis, contrasting and etching have been used to investigate the structure of graft copolymers of PA-6 with polymethacrylic acid obtained by chemically initiated liquid phase graft polymerization.
