Artificially Weaved Textile‐like Surface Micromachined Graphene‐Polymer Flexible Bioelectrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study reports on the engineering of microscale textured surfaces of SU‐8/PMMA polymer composites much like a “weft‐warp” pattern to resemble “artificially‐weaved” textiles. These microstructured surfaces enable conformal layering of functional reduced graphene oxide (rGO), all‐in‐all offering favorable features including remarkable self ...

High‐Pressure Homogenization: An Industrially Scalable Method for Producing PHBH Powders for Selective Laser Sintering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This article investigates a sustainable approach to producing new powders for selective laser sintering by using high‐pressure homogenization to micronize biopolymers. The approach yields flowable, thermally stable particles with sub‐rounded morphology, enabling 3D printing of dense components with complex geometries.

BIOKOMPATIBILITAS BAHAN BASIS GIGI TIRUAN RESIN AKRILIK

open access: yesJournal of Dentistry Indonesia, 2015
The tissue compatibility of the oral tissue to the processed denture base materials has been a subject of considerable contention. Completely polymerized polymethyl methacrylate do not cause toxicity reactions, but that methyl methacrylate monomer or ...

Impact of energy dissipation on interface shapes and on rates for dewetting from liquid substrates [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We revisit the fundamental problem of liquid-liquid dewetting and perform a detailed comparison of theoretical predictions based on thin-film models with experimental measurements obtained by atomic force microscopy (AFM). Specifically, we consider the dewetting of a liquid polystyrene (PS) layer from a liquid polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) layer ...

Progress in Surface Plasmon and Other Resonance Biosensors for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This is the shortened version: Recent advancements in surface plasmon resonance and other optical resonance biosensors for biomedical applications are presented. Advanced sensing strategies are examined for the detection of diverse analytes, integration of nanomaterials and machine learning, and emerging nonplasmonic modes like guided mode resonance ...

Revealing the True Nature of Double‐Peak Emission in 2D Perovskite Single Crystals Using Polariton Waveguides

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Engineering structural distortion in Dion–Jacobson perovskites allows control over optical properties and electronic band structure, unveiling new structure‐property insights. Crystal microwires act as waveguides with strong light‐matter coupling, explaining the double peak emission.

Demonstration of a Graphene Adjustable‐Barriers Phototransistor with Tunable Ultra‐High Responsivity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A novel graphene‐based phototransistor with a tunable ultra‐high responsivity of 1.7 x 107 AW−1 has been demonstrated. Due to the selected material combination of amorphous silicon, graphene and n‐germanium, the device is potentially capable of dual‐band detection in the VIS‐IR range.

ASPECTS IN BIOMATERIALS SELECTION FOR REMOVABLE DENTURES – MARKER OF BIOLOGICAL INTEGRATION

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 2013
The number of denture wearers is increasing as the number of elderly people continually growing, and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) is still the most frequently used material in denture base fabrication.
