Ionic Liquid-Nanostructured Poly(Methyl Methacrylate)
Here, ionic liquids (ILs) based on imidazolium and ammonium cations were used as modifying agents for poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) by extrusion. The effects of the chemical nature of the cation and/or counter anion on the resulting properties of IL ...

Broadband Continuous Spectral Control of a Single Wavelength Polymer-Based Solid-State Random Laser [PDF]
We demonstrate temperature-controlled spectral tunability of a partially-pumped single-wavelength random laser in a solid-state random laser based on DCM (4-dicyanomethylene-2-methyl-6-(p-dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyran) doped PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) dye.

Tunable Ultraviolet Vertically-emitting Organic Laser [PDF]
A solid-state organic thin-film laser with intracavity frequency doubling is reported. Tunable ultraviolet emission from 309 to 322 nm is achieved from a vertical external cavity surface-emitting organic laser, with 2 % efficiency (1 $\mu$J at 315 nm). The laser comprises a polymethyl(methacrylate) layer doped with Rhodamine 640, spun-cast onto a plane

Droplets on liquids and their long way into equilibrium [PDF]
The morphological paths towards equilibrium droplets during the late stages of the dewetting process of a liquid film from a liquid substrate is investigated experimentally and theoretically.

High Mobility Ambipolar MoS2 Field-Effect Transistors: Substrate and Dielectric Effects [PDF]
We fabricate MoS2 field effect transistors on both SiO2 and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) dielectrics and measure charge carrier mobility in a four-probe configuration. For multilayer MoS2 on SiO2, the mobility is 30-60 cm2/Vs, relatively independent of thickness (15-90 nm), and most devices exhibit unipolar n-type behavior.

Single photon emission from ZnO nanoparticles [PDF]
Room temperature single photon emitters are very important resources for photonics and emerging quantum technologies. In this work we study single photon emission from defect centers in 20 nm zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles. The emitters exhibit bright broadband fluorescence in the red spectral range centered at 640 nm with polarized excitation and ...

Effect of Phosphate Group Addition on the Properties of Denture Base Resins [PDF]
Statement of problem Acrylic resins are prone to microbial adherence, especially by Candida albicans. Surface-charged resins alter the ionic interaction between the denture resin and Candida hyphae, and these resins are being developed as a means to ...
