COLLAGEN BIOSTIMULATOR WITH POLYMETHYLMETHACRYLATE
INDIAN JOURNAL OF APPLIED RESEARCH, 2021Introduction: Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is a potent agent that induces neocolagenesis and neoangiogenesis when used in dermal and subcutaneous tissue implantation techniques. In this study, the collagen biostimulation technique with PMMA is presented, with adequate and safe concentrations for facial lifting in different laxity degrees.

Evolution of shock compression pulses in polymethylmethacrylate and aluminum
Journal of Applied Physics, 2018The numerical study of the dynamics of shock compression pulses in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and aluminum is performed in both viscoelastic and hydrodynamic approximations. The Maxwell relaxation model with two parameters, the relaxation time and the

Methods of Immobilization of Proteins to Polymethylmethacrylate
Preparative Biochemistry, 1985An extracorporeal hemoperfusion chamber for insertion into the peripheral circulatory system has previously been described. In 4 to 6 hours perfusion its aim is to exert a subtractive, selective effect on the blood and to stimulate immunocompetent cells. The chamber is made from polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA).

Irradiation of Polymethylmethacrylate
The Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery, 1974Data resulting from gamma radiation of polymethylmethacrylate indicate that the clinical use of Co60 irradiation of neoplastic disease in bone is not affected by the presence of polymethylmethacrylate, nor is the polymethylmethacrylate affected at the level of gamma radiation in clinical use today.

Growth Hormone in Polymethylmethacrylate Cement
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1990The in vitro release of human growth hormone (hGH) from polymethylmethacrylate bone cement was measured for up to 40 days using a specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. In rabbits, hGH-loaded bone cement was inserted into one distal femur and plain cement was inserted into the contralateral distal femur as a control.

Toxicity of polymethylmethacrylate thermodegradation products
Archives of Toxicology, 1984Polymethylmethacrylate was thermally degraded in air at 300 degrees C and the volatile decomposition products studied with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. The main product was monomeric methacrylate, although many other compounds existed among the products. Electron spin resonance spectroscopy revealed the presence of free radicals.

Solar Energy Materials, 1988
Abstract Optical efficiencies for luminescence solar concentrators based on thin films of polymethylmethacrylate doped with luminescent dye BASF-241 deposited on PMMA transparent plates are measured and calculated. The influence of the refractive index of optical matching material on LSC performance is analyzed.

Environmental Crazing of Polymethylmethacrylate and Polycarbonate
1980Polymethylmethacrylate and polycarbonate are finding many uses as industrial materials, such as in automobiles and other consumer goods. Of particular interest to the manufacturer and consumer alike, is their resistance to mechanical degradation under stress in certain unfavorable environments, such as organic solvents.
