A Polynomial Time Algorithm for SAT
Article presents the compatibility matrix method and illustrates it with the application to P vs NP problem. The method is a generalization of descriptive geometry: in the method, we draft problems and solve them utilizing the image creation technique.

Inversion of Parahermitian matrices
Parahermitian matrices arise in broadband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems or array processing, and require inversion in some instances. In this paper, we apply a polynomial eigenvalue decomposition obtained by the sequential best rotation ...

A polynomial time approximation algorithm for dynamic storage allocation
We use an on-line algorithm for coloring interval graphs to construct a polynomial time approximation algorithm WIC for Dynamic Storage Allocation. The performance ratio for WIC is at most six; the best previous upper bound on the performance ratio for a

Linear and ellipsoidal pattern separation: theoretical aspects and experimental analysis
This thesis deals with a pattern classification problem, which geometrically implies data separation in some Euclidean feature space. The task is to infer a classifier (a separating surface) from a set or sequence of observations.

ABSTRACT Past growth in the global organic market has been concentrated in high‐income countries, while in middle‐income countries such as Serbia the organic market remains nascent and characterized by a sparse assortment of organic products, high retail premia and limited evidence on consumer preferences and their drivers.

ABSTRACT Hybrid modeling combines first‐principles equations with a data‐driven subcomponent. Training for the data‐driven part is sensitive to measurement noise when training targets are constructed using pointwise time derivatives. Beyond differentiation errors, hybrid models involve solving an inverse problem to estimate the data‐driven term, which ...

Polynomial-Time Algorithms for Phylogenetic Inference Problems
A common problem in phylogenetics is to try to infer a species phylogeny from gene trees. We consider different variants of this problem. The first variant, called Unrestricted Minimal Episodes Inference, aims at inferring a species tree based on a model of speciation and duplication where duplications are clustered in duplication episodes. The goal is

Lot streaming and batch scheduling: splitting and grouping jobs to improve production efficiency
This thesis deals with issues arising in manufacturing, in particular related to production efficiency. Lot streaming refers to the process of splitting jobs to move production through several stages as quickly as possible, whereas batch scheduling ...
