Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Evaluation of $ \zeta (2,\ldots ,2,4,2,\ldots ,2) $ and period polynomial relations

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma
In studying the depth filtration on multiple zeta values, difficulties quickly arise due to a disparity between it and the coradical filtration [9]. In particular, there are additional relations in the depth graded algebra coming from period polynomials ...

A Theoretical Consideration on the Estimation of Interphase Poisson’s Ratio for Fibrous Polymeric Composites

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2018
An analytical approach on the evaluation of interphase Poisson’s ratio for fibrous composites, consisting of polymeric matrix and unidirectional continuous fibers, is performed.

Precise Measurement of the Surface Shape of Silicon Wafer by Using a New Phase-Shifting Algorithm and Wavelength-Tuning Interferometer

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In wavelength-tuning interferometry, the surface profile of the optical component is a key evaluation index. However, the systematic errors caused by the coupling error between the higher harmonics and phase shift error are considerable. In this research,

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Comparison of sensitivity of interpolation methods by rain gauge network density [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و مهندسی آبیاری
Different interpolation methods, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, are used to temporal and spatial estimation of precipitation. The accuracy of this estimate depends on the density of point data measured at rain gauge stations. In this study,

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

Microstructure Modification of Additively Manufactured Mo–9Si–8B by Annealing and Its Effects on High‐Temperature Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Postbuild annealing systematically modifies the phase fractions and morphology of EB‐PBF processed Mo–9Si–8B. Quantitative microstructure–property correlations reveal how controlled phase evolution enhances high‐temperature compressive strength and creep resistance.

Parallel Quantum Signal Processing Via Polynomial Factorization [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum
Quantum signal processing (QSP) is a methodology for constructing polynomial transformations of a linear operator encoded in a unitary. Applied to an encoding of a state $\rho$, QSP enables the evaluation of nonlinear functions of the form $\text{tr}(P ...
