A factorization of the Conway polynomial

open access: yesCommentarii Mathematici Helvetici, 1999
It is shown that the Conway polynomial of a link is a product of two factors, the first of which is the Conway polynomial of a knot obtained by banding together the link components and the second is determined, via an explicit formula, by the \tilde\mu

Resistance to Overdoping Allows Over 2000 S cm−1 Conductivity in P(g3BTTT) With Anion‐Exchange Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Balanced state-space representations: a polynomial algebraic approach [PDF]

open access: yes
We show how to compute a minimal Riccati-balanced state map and a minimal Riccati-balanced state space representation starting from an image representation of a strictly dissipative system.

A comparative study of nonlinear cleanup rules in resonator networks

open access: yesFrontiers in Artificial Intelligence
Hopfield networks retrieve stored patterns through recurrent nonlinear updates, and later associative-memory variants broaden this design space through alternative nonlinear retrieval rules.

Switchable Magnonic Crystals Based on Spin Crossover/CrSBr Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Multiscale modeling is employed to investigate the functionality of a light‐controlled, tunable magnonic crystal based on spin‐crossover Fe‐pz molecules integrated with a monolayer of CrSBr. Ab initio simulations confirm that the molecules remain functional on the CrSBr surface, while a semiclassical elastic model demonstrates that light‐induced ...

Nonnegative factorization and the maximum edge biclique problem [PDF]

open access: yes
Nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) is a data analysis technique based on the approximation of a nonnegative matrix with a product of two nonnegative factors, which allows compression and interpretation of nonnegative data. In this paper, we study the

Lyapunov stability analysis of higher-order 2D systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We prove a necessary and sufficient condition for the asymptotic stability of a 2D system described by a system of higher-order linear partial difference equations.

Space‐Time Coding Conformal Metasurfaces for Multifrequency Beam Steering and Shaping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Space‐time coding conformal metasurfaces enable dynamic wave control on curved surfaces by combining programmable spatial patterns with temporal modulation. This study shows that a single conformal aperture can independently manipulate multiple frequency components, achieving multifunctional beam shaping and steering, with implications for ...
