Objective Obesity, defined by body mass index (BMI) ≥30 kg/m2, is a risk factor for functional limitations in people with knee osteoarthritis (OA). However, function varies among such individuals. Our objective was to evaluate the implications of obesity subtypes on longitudinal patterns of physical functioning in people with or at risk for knee OA ...

On The *-polynomial Identities Of M1,1(e)
In this paper we consider the algebra M1,1(E) endowed with the involution * induced by the transposition superinvolution of the superalgebra M1,1(F) of 2×2-matrices over the field F.

Identities of Degenerate Poly-Changhee Polynomials Arising from λ-Sheffer Sequences
In the 1970s, Gian-Carlo Rota constructed the umbral calculus for investigating the properties of special functions, and by Kim-Kim, umbral calculus is generalized called λ-umbral calculus.

Annals of Combinatorics / Elementary polynomial identities involving q-trinomial coefficients
We use the q-binomial theorem to prove three new polynomial identities involving q-trinomial coefficients. We then use summation formulas for the q-trinomial coefficients to convert our identities into another set of three polynomial identities, which imply ...

Discordance Between Patient and Physician Global Assessments in Early Systemic Sclerosis
Objective This study aims to identify factors associated with patient global assessment (PtGA) and physician global assessment (PhGA) and discordance between them in systemic sclerosis (SSc). Methods Data from adults with early SSc (<5 years) from the Collaborative National Quality and Efficacy Registry were included.

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Geometry and complexity of O'Hara's algorithm [PDF]
In this paper we analyze O'Hara's partition bijection. We present three type of results. First, we see that O'Hara's bijection can be viewed geometrically as a certain scissor congruence type result.

Identities for generalized Euler polynomials [PDF]
For $N \in \mathbb{N}$, let $T_{N}$ be the Chebyshev polynomial of the first kind. Expressions for the sequence of numbers $p_{\ell}^{(N)}$, defined as the coefficients in the expansion of $1/T_{N}(1/z)$, are provided. These coefficients give formulas for the classical Euler polynomials in terms of the so-called generalized Euler polynomials.

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.
