A novel method to construct stationary solutions of the Vlasov-Maxwell system : the relativistic case

open access: yes, 2008
A method to derive stationary solutions of the relativistic Vlasov-Maxwell system is explored. In the non-relativistic case, a method using the Hermite polynomial series to describe the deviation from the Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution is found to be ...

Minimizing Rational Functions by Exact Jacobian SDP Relaxation Applicable to Finite Singularities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper considers the optimization problem of minimizing a rational function. We reformulate this problem as polynomial optimization by the technique of homogenization. These two problems are shown to be equivalent under some generic conditions.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

CONSTRUCTION OF A MULTIVARIATE POLYNOMIAL GIVEN BY A REDUNDANT DESCRIPTION IN STOCHASTIC AND DETERMINISTIC FORMULATIONS USING AN ACTIVE EXPERIMENT

open access: yesВісник Національного технічного університету "ХПÌ": Системний аналіз, управління та інформаційні технології, 2022
We present the methods for constructing a multivariate polynomial given by a redundant representation based on the results of a limited active experiment. We solve the problem in two formulations.

Efficient schemes on solving fractional integro-differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Fractional integro-differential equation (FIDE) emerges in various modelling of physical phenomena. In most cases, finding the exact analytical solution for FIDE is difficult or not possible.

Fourier restriction to polynomial curves I: a geometric inequality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We prove a Fourier restriction result for general polynomial curves in Rd. Measuring the Fourier restriction with respect to the affine arclength measure of the curve, we obtain a universal estimate for the class of all polynomial curves of bounded ...

Baseline Regional Cholinergic Denervation Predicts Cognitive Trajectories in Moderate Parkinson Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive decline is a disabling and variable feature of Parkinson disease (PD). While cholinergic system degeneration is linked to cognitive impairments in PD, most prior research reported cross‐sectional associations. We aimed to fill this gap by investigating whether baseline regional cerebral vesicular acetylcholine transporter ...

Impact of decreasing polynomial degree in time needed to factor a 100 digits integer by General Number field sieve algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2012
Factoring is very important in the field of cryptography, specifically in the Rivest, Shamir, Adleman(RSA) public-key cryptosystem, one of the most prevalent methods for transmitting and receiving secret data which its security relies on the fact that ...

Cubic splines solutions of the higher order boundary value problems arise in sandwich panel theory

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2022
An inventive strategy is bestowed here to acquire the numeral roots of nonlinear boundary value problems(BVPs) of 14th-order utilizing cubic splines. Two cubic splines; Polynomial and non-polynomial, are exploited to find out the solutions of nonlinear ...

Relationship Between Neurologic Symptoms and Signs and FMR1 Genotype in Premutation Carriers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Fragile X‐associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS) is the most severe late‐onset condition caused by a premutation in the FMR1 gene, characterized by expanded CGG triplet repeats of 55–200. Clinical presentations of FXTAS, including gait ataxia, kinetic tremor, cognitive decline, and rare Parkinsonism, are linked to ...
