For aii algebra R over a field k, with residue field K to be a ring of polyniomials in one variable over k it is necessary that trdeg K/k = 1. We prove that under the hypothesis tr* deg K/k -1, R is a ring of Krtull-dimension at most one. This is used to derive sufficient conditions for R to be a ring of polynomials in one variable over k. 1.

Big polynomial rings and Stillman’s conjecture [PDF]
Ananyan-Hochster's recent proof of Stillman's conjecture reveals a key principle: if $f_1, \dots, f_r$ are elements of a polynomial ring such that no linear combination has small strength then $f_1, \dots, f_r$ behave approximately like independent ...

The Applications of Algebraic Polynomial Rings in Satellite Coding and Cryptography [PDF]
This survey illustrates and investigates the application of polynomial rings over finite fields to generate PRN codes for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) satellites.

A Combinatorial Model for the Decomposition of Multivariate Polynomial Rings as $S_n$-Modules [PDF]
We consider the symmetric group $S_n$-module of the polynomial ring with $m$ sets of $n$ commuting variables and $m'$ sets of $n$ anti-commuting variables and show that the multiplicity of an irreducible indexed by the partition $\lambda$ (a partition of

Evaluation and interpolation over multivariate skew polynomial rings [PDF]
In this work, we extend the concepts of evaluation and interpolation from univariate skew polynomials to multivariate skew polynomials. To extend these concepts in a natural way, we consider multivariate skew polynomial rings whose multiplication is ...

New semifields and new MRD codes from skew polynomial rings [PDF]
In this article, we construct a new family of semifields, containing and extending two well‐known families, namely Albert's generalised twisted fields and Petit's cyclic semifields (also known as Johnson–Jha semifields).

Big Polynomial Rings with Imperfect Coefficient Fields [PDF]
We previously showed that the inverse limit of standard-graded polynomial rings with perfect coefficient field is a polynomial ring, in an uncountable number of variables. In this paper, we show that the same result holds with arbitrary coefficient field.

Small subalgebras of polynomial rings and Stillman’s Conjecture [PDF]
Let n , d , η n, d, \eta be positive integers. We show that in a polynomial ring R R in N N variables over an algebraically closed field K K of ...

Lim Ulrich sequences and Boij-Söderberg cones
This paper extends the results of Boij, Eisenbud, Erman, Schreyer and Söderberg on the structure of Betti cones of finitely generated graded modules and finite free complexes over polynomial rings, to all finitely generated graded rings admitting linear ...

Endo-Noetherian Skew Generalized Power Series Rings [PDF]
Endo-Noetherian modules were introduced by A. Kaidi and E. Sanchez] as a generalization of Noetherian modules. A left Ɍ-module M which satisfies the ascending chain condition for endomorphic kernels is said to be endo-Noetherian.
