Numerical integration by the matrix method of boundary value problems for linear inhomogeneous ordinary differential equations of the third order with variable coefficients

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2018
The use of the Taylor polynomial of the second degree when approximating the derivatives by finite differences leads to the second order of approximation of the traditional method of nets in the numerical integration of second-order ordinary differential

Resistance to Overdoping Allows Over 2000 S cm−1 Conductivity in P(g3BTTT) With Anion‐Exchange Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Anion‐exchange doping of conjugated polymers is an effective way to achieve high conductivities. Here, we report over 2000 S cm−1 electrical conductivity for doped P(g3BTTT). In addition, we show that P(g3BTTT) sustains exceptionally high doping levels without any drop in the charge mobility.

Well Conditioned Spherical Polynomial Systems

open access: yesJournal of Approximation Theory, 1999
The author studies nonnegative spherical polynomials \(p\) normalized by \(p(1)= 1\) that minimizes a surface integral over the unit surface for fixed degree. These polynomials are used to construct systems of nodes on the sphere that support stable numerical systems of zonal harmonics such as those whose condition numbers are bounded.

AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

Additive Manufacture of Diamond:Titanium Hybrid Quantum Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Additive manufacture represents one of the most advanced techniques for the creation of complex parts for applications as diverse as aerospace and implant surgery. However, a challenge with bespoke manufacture of metal parts is the incorporation of sensor elements in a fashion compatible with the 3D printing process.

A Comparative Study on Early‐Stage Icing Evaluation Techniques for Passive Ice Protection Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study addresses the lack of standardized methodologies for evaluating the early‐stage icing performance of passive ice protection systems. A unified experimental protocol is proposed and applied to representative hydrophilic and hydrophobic surfaces under controlled conditions.

Symmetric Encryption Algorithms in a Polynomial Residue Number System

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics
In this paper, we develop the theoretical provisions of symmetric cryptographic algorithms based on the polynomial residue number system for the first time. The main feature of the proposed approach is that when reconstructing the polynomial based on the

Topological Point Defects in SmC* Liquid Crystals Under Mechanical Disturbance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Tangetial air jet shear inducess island formation and nucleates topological point defects in uniform SmC films. Island bounded by edge dislocation loops shrink and transform into isolated point defects under continued shear. Mechanical perturbatio provides a controllable route for defect engineering in smectric liquid crystal thin films.

Pattern Formation in Non‐Equilibrium Architected Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This article demonstrates an artificial mechanical system ‐ a robotic metamaterial ‐ as an accessible and versatile platform within which to explore and prescribe the reaction‐diffusion driven pattern formation hitherto associated with comparatively less accessible and versatile non‐equilibrium biological and chemical systems.

A Motion Tracking System Based on The Polynomial Expansion and Harris Corner

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology, 2017
A motion tracking system based on polynomial expansion inter - frame estimation and Harris corner detection is proposed. The system transforms the video monitoring image into grayscale in order to feature extract, then determines the interested area to ...
