Phase portraits of Bernoulli quadratic polynomial differential systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
In this article we study a new class of quadratic polynomial differential systems. We classify all global phase portraits in the Poincare disk of Bernoulli quadratic polynomial differential systems in R^2.

Periodic orbits for real planar polynomial vector fields of degree $n$ having $n$ invariant straight lines taking into account their multiplicities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2015
We study the existence and non--existence of periodic orbits and limit cycles for planar polynomial differential systems of degree $n$ having $n$ real invariant straight lines taking into account their multiplicities.

Decoupling Highly Structured Polynomial Systems

open access: yesACM Communications in Computer Algebra, 2015
An efficient technique for solving polynomial systems with a particular structure is presented. This structure is very specific but arises naturally when computing the critical points of a symmetric polynomial energy function. This novel numerical solution method is based on homotopy continuation and is a particular application of results due to Canny ...

Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

Nucleation‐Controlled Reconstruction of CuOx for Selective CO2 Electroreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The ratio of oxygen vacancies (Ov) and exposed Cu2O (111)/(200) of CuOx precatalyst is modulated by nucleation control of Cu(OH)2 precursor. Low Ov ratio and high ratio of Cu2O (111)/(200) in slow‐nucleated CuOx reconstructs to high‐coordinated oxide‐derived copper (OD‐Cu) during electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) and exhibits enhanced ...

Computation of Bounds for Polynomial Dynamic Systems

open access: yesAlgorithms
Bounds for positive definite sets such as attractors of dynamic systems are typically characterized by Lyapunov-like functions. These Lyapunov functions and their time derivatives must satisfy certain definiteness conditions, whose verification usually ...

Membrane Systems Languages Are Polynomial-Time Parsable [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2010
The focus of this paper is the family of languages generated by transitional non-cooperative P systems without further ingredients. This family can also be defined by so-called time yields of derivation trees of context-free grammars.

Multiplex Modular Nanorobotic Systems with Catalytic Activity under Magnetic Navigation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present modular nanorobots composed of a magnetic propulsion module and different extension modules carrying functional activities, assembled via DNA base pairing. The system integrates propulsion, optical tracking, enzymatic catalysis, and cell docking in a programmable manner.

Zero-dimensional families of polynomial systems

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 2013
If a real world problem is modelled with a system of polynomial equations, the coefficients are in general not exact. The consequence is that small perturbations of the coefficients may lead to big changes of the solutions.

MXene/PEDOT Functional Coatings on Flexible Microelectrode Arrays for Multianalyte In Vivo Neurochemical Sensing and Electrophysiology

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A MXene/PEDOT coating enables multimodal functionality and dual‐analyte detection of dopamine and serotonin in flexible microelectrode arrays while enhancing electrophysiological recording quality. The anti‐fouling, low‐impedance interface overcomes key limitations of conventional coatings, providing a robust and versatile platform to investigate the ...
