Catechol‐Functionalized Polyolefins
Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2020AbstractThe incorporation of comonomers during ethylene polymerization can efficiently modulate important material properties of the polyolefins. Utilizing bioresourced comonomers for the generation of high‐performance polyolefin materials is attractive from a sustainability point of view.

Metallocene‐based functionalized polyolefins as compatibilizers in polyolefin nanocomposites
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2004AbstractThis article reports a study of some functionalized polyolefins evaluated as compatibilizers in polyethylene nanocomposites. The functionalized polymers were prepared by direct metallocene‐mediated copolymerizations of ethylene and a functional comonomer. The prepared nanocomposites were evaluated for mechanical and barrier property enhancement.

Polyolefin Diol in Coatings for Thermoplastic Polyolefins
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1998<div class="htmlview paragraph">Coating resins have been developed which adhere well to a variety of plastic substrates without the use of an adhesion promoter or other surface preparation. These resins are based on a new polyolefin diol, cured with either melamine resins or with isocyanates.

AbstractThe properties of polylefin waxes derived from polypropylene, polybutene, and their copolymers are described, with particular references to those which are useful as coatings and barrier materials. These products can be applied with conventional melt‐ and curtain‐coating machines on paper and other substrates to give coatings with properties ...
