Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2004AbstractThis article reports a study of some functionalized polyolefins evaluated as compatibilizers in polyethylene nanocomposites. The functionalized polymers were prepared by direct metallocene‐mediated copolymerizations of ethylene and a functional comonomer. The prepared nanocomposites were evaluated for mechanical and barrier property enhancement.

Catalytic degradation of polyolefins
Makromolekulare Chemie. Macromolecular Symposia, 1992AbstractSilica, alumina, silica‐aluminas and zeolites were screened as catalysts for polyolefins degradation. The degradations were carried out at temperatures from 200°C till to 600°C under vacuum. The degradation products were analyzed using gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry (GC‐MS).

These resins are based on a new polyolefin diol, cured with either melamine resins or with isocyanates.

The weldability of POEs to TPO is an important consideration for their incorporation into automotive products and so a study was performed to assess their weldability using through-transmission laser welding (TTLW).
