Mechanochemical Depolymerization of PET: Kinetic Studies on Alkaline Hydrolysis of Commercial Feedstocks

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 3, February 2026.
Complete depolymerization of commercial PET feedstocks in the presence of NaOH is achieved within 20 min under ambient conditions, without any specific sample pretreatment. Depolymerization is accelerated in samples with higher amorphous content due to more efficient interface formation.

Synthesis and Antibacterial Activity of Polyoxometalates with Different Structures

open access: yesBioinorganic Chemistry and Applications, 2018
A new inorganic-organic hybrid compound, [{Cu(phen)2}2(H4W12O40)], was synthesized, and its crystal structure was determined. The Keggin anion H4W12O404− was grafted with two coordination units {Cu(phen)2}, forming an electrically neutral molecule.

Bounding and approximating parabolas for the spectrum of Heisenberg spin systems

open access: yes, 2001
We prove that for a wide class of quantum spin systems with isotropic Heisenberg coupling the energy eigenvalues which belong to a total spin quantum number S have upper and lower bounds depending at most quadratically on S.

Polyoxometalates (POMs)

open access: yes
Polyoxometalates (POMs) represent a class of nanomaterials, which hold enormous promise for a range of energy-related applications. Their promise is owing to their "special"structure that gives POMs a truly unique ability to control redox reactions in energy conversion and storage. One such amazing capability is their large number of redox active sites

Monodisperse Manganese‐Vanadium‐Oxo Clusters with Extraordinary Lithium Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Although possessing well‐defined nanostructures and excellent multi‐electron redox properties, polyoxometalate clusters have poor intrinsic electrical conductivity and are prone to aggregation due to large surface energy, which makes them difficult to be
