G-EYE Improves Polyp, Adenoma, and Serrated Polyp Detection Rates in Colonoscopy
Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, 2023Background: Colonoscopy is the gold-standard test to decrease mortality from colorectal cancer (CRC). G-EYE is an inflated balloon on the bending section of the scope with the ability to flatten the folds to improve the adenoma detection rate (ADR).

Reduce False-Positive Rate by Active Learning for Automatic Polyp Detection in Colonoscopy Videos
IEEE International Symposium on Biomedical Imaging, 2020Automatic polyp detection is reported to have a high false-positive rate (FPR) because of various polyp-like structures and artifacts in complex colon environment.

The Importance of Increased Serrated Polyp Detection Rate
Current Colorectal Cancer Reports, 2016Based on the World Health Organization (WHO) criteria, serrated lesions were classified as sessile serrated adenoma/polyp (SSA/P), traditional serrated adenoma (TSA), and hyperplastic polyp (HP). Large serrated lesions are found to be associated with advanced colonic adenoma in the colon.

PWE-019 Polyp detection rate. does length matter?
Endoscopy II, 2015Introduction Polyp detection is a vital for any colonoscopist to reduce colon cancer risk. The USA National Polyp Study reported that endoscopic removal of all adenomas was associated with a 76–90% decrease in cancer incidence compared to 3 separate historic reference groups.

Artificial Intelligence–Assisted Colonoscopy for Polyp Detection
Annals of Internal MedicineBACKGROUND Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) of computer-aided detection (CADe) system-enhanced colonoscopy compared with conventional colonoscopy suggest increased adenoma detection rate (ADR) and decreased adenoma miss rate (AMR), but the effect on ...

Colonoscopy scheduling influences adenoma and polyp detection rates.
Hepato-gastroenterology, 2014Because colonoscopy can be a technically challenging procedure, endoscopist fatigue, which usually increases as day progresses, may impact procedural performance. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of colonoscopy scheduling on adenoma and polyp detection rates (ADR and PDR, respectively). This was a retrospective study of data ...
