Areas of endemism of Pteridaceae (Polypodiopsida) in Brazil: a first approach

Cladistics, 2023
AbstractAreas of endemism (AoE) comprise regions host to two or more endemic taxa, whose distributional limits are congruent and not random. These areas are important for two reasons: they comprise the smallest geographic units for biogeographic analyses and they are priority targets for conservation actions. Ferns are a monophyletic group that despite

Typification of a Linnaean name in Gleicheniaceae (Polypodiopsida)

Phytotaxa, 2018
Gleicheniaceae are an ancient fern family with about 157 species and six genera (PPG I 2016). Although its taxonomy has been through several changes in the last years (Gonzales & Kessler 2011), a great gap remains in both taxonomy and nomenclature.

End of an enigma: Aenigmopteris belongs in Tectaria (Tectariaceae: Polypodiopsida)

Journal of Plant Research, 2017
The phylogenetic affinities of the fern genus Aenigmopteris have been the subject of considerable disagreement, but until now, no molecular data were available from the genus. Based on the analysis of three chloroplast DNA regions (rbcL, rps16-matK, and trnL-F) we demonstrate that Aenigmopteris dubia (the type species of the genus) and A.
