Two new lanostanoid glycosides isolated from a Kenyan polypore Fomitopsis carnea

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2023
Chemical exploration of solid-state cultures of the polypore Fomitopsis carnea afforded two new C31 lanostane-type triterpenoid glycosides, forpiniosides B (1) and C (2) together with two known derivatives, namely 3-epipachymic acid (3) and (3α,25S)-3-O ...

Taxonomy of Pseudolagarobasidium (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) [PDF]

open access: yesFungal Diversity, 2012
Pseudolagarobasidium (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) is a small, monophyletic genus of crustose, wood-inhabiting fungi with spines and a saprobic, endophytic, or parasitic habit. Seven species are accepted in the genus including two new species, P. belizense from Belize and P. pusillum from Australia.

Complete mitochondrial genome of Ganoderma shanxiense (Ganodermataceae, Polyporales). [PDF]

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA B Resour
The fungal genus Ganoderma recently expanded with the description of Ganoderma shanxiense L. Fan & H. Liu 2019. This study presents the complete mitogenome of the species. The 97,036-bp circular mitogenome contains 60 functional genes, including 14 standard protein-coding genes, 27 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, and 17 non-conserved ORFs.

Species Diversity and Molecular Phylogeny of Cyanosporus (Polyporales, Basidiomycota) [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2021
Cyanosporus is a cosmopolitan brown-rot fungal genus, recognizable by blue-tinted basidiocarps. Species in this genus were usually treated as belonging to the Postia caesia complex, however, recent phylogenetic analyses showed that this complex represents an independent genus.

Differences in mycelial turnover and persistence of wood-decay fungi at the microscale. [PDF]

open access: yesNew Phytol
Summary How long do fungal hyphae persist in the environment? And how does this differ between groups and species of fungi? Despite growing knowledge of fungal contributions to decomposition and soil carbon cycles, surprisingly little is known about the turnover of mycelia: What happens to fungal hyphae over time? And how this impacts different fungi's

Wood-inhabiting macrofungi Hymenochaetales and Polyporales (Basidiomycota) in the Amazon Forest: relationship the abiotic factors and substrate colonization

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, 2022
Hymenochaetales and Polyporales are important macrofungi for the maintenance of tropical forests, since they act directly in the nutrient cycling of the wood decomposition.

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2017
An account of eight species of genusHyphoderma(H.clavatum,H.definitum,H.echinocystis,H.litschaueri,H.nemorale,H.subpraetermissum,H.tibia,andH.transiens) is presented, which is based on collections made from Uttarakhand state during 2009–2014. All these species are cited and fully described for the first time from India.
