A General Workflow for Tangential Flow Filtration Perfusion Scale‐Up

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Tangential flow filtration (TFF) perfusion using hollow‐fiber modules offers substantial advantages over other mammalian cell retention technologies. Recently, increased awareness of Starling flow has helped to enhance filtration performance to similar, or even higher levels compared to alternative technologies.

Superhydrophobic Surfaces from Various Polypropylenes

open access: yesLangmuir, 2008
Superhydrophobic surfaces were prepared from solutions of isotactic polypropylenes of various molecular weights using soft chemistry. Varying the conditions of the experiments (polymer concentration and initial amount of the coated solution) allowed us ...

Microstructure of polypropylene

Progress in Polymer Science, 2001
Abstract For over thirty years after the discovery of stereoselective olefin polymerization in 1954, the word ‘polypropylene’ has meant, both scientifically and commercially, little else than the predominantly isotactic polymer achievable with the classical heterogeneous Ziegler–Natta catalysts.

Polypropylene

Ophthalmology, 1981
Polypropylene is a polymer widely used in lens implantation, both as a loop material and as an intracameral suture. The chemistry and qualities of this material are discussed. Predicated on its usage in other types of surgery, it appears to be resistant to degradation.

Photodegradation of polypropylene and polypropylene containing pyrene

Polymer Photochemistry, 1983
Abstract The photodegradation of polypropylene (PP) and polypropylene containing pyrene (Py) as an additive has been studied by electron spin resonance (ESR), infra-red (IR) and ultra-violet (UV) absorption measurements. When PP film is irradiated with UV light at −196°C, alkyl-type radicals are produced.
