ABSTRACT Objective To determine the concentration of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma in Alexander disease (AxD) and whether GFAP levels are predictive of disease phenotypes. Methods CSF and plasma were collected (longitudinally when available) from AxD participants and non‐AxD controls.

Objective Foot orthoses are thought to improve pain by potentially modifying internal mechanical forces. To test this, we explored whether foot orthoses can modify patterns of bone marrow lesions (BMLs) in people with midfoot pain. Methods Forty‐two people were recruited with midfoot pain, and magnetic resonance imaging–confirmed midfoot BMLs ...

Macromolecular non-releasing additives for safer food packaging: application to ethylene/α-olefins and propylene based polymers [PDF]
Some innovative solutions are proposed to the problem of the unavoidable physical migration of antioxidants from plastic films for packaging, in order to minimize the consequent undesirable effect of food contamination.

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.
