Phase evolution induced by polypyrrole in iron oxide–polypyrrole nanocomposite
Sensors and Actuators B: Chemical, 2005Abstract Nanocomposite of polypyrrole and iron oxide were prepared using simultaneous gelation and polymerization processes. Varied amounts of pyrrole were added to a solution containing an Fe(III) salt as precursor and 2-metoxy ethanol as solvent. The particles were found to be nanocrystalline.

Synthetic studies toward the preparation of several polypyrrolic macrocycles are described. The majority of the research was directed toward the synthesis of a pentapyrrolic analogue (15) of porphyrin (13). The results were surprising, as a meso-substituted porphyrin (63) was the result.

Polypyrrole as a thermoplasmonic
2015 International Conference on Computing, Control, Networking, Electronics and Embedded Systems Engineering (ICCNEEE), 2015Thermoplasmonics is a new field in science, that combines nano-thermodynamics and nano-optics. Its main concern is controlling heat generation in nanoparticles due to light absorption. The common definition of thermoplasminics is; metal nanoparticles are efficient nano-sources of heat at surface plasmon resonance (SPR) frequency.
