A Novel Sigma-Conjugated Hyperbranched Polysilane Polymethylphenylsilane-co-methylsilane (PMPS-co-MS)

open access: yes, 2006
A novel σ-conjugated hyperbranched polysilane is presented, and it has good solubility in common organic solvents. The photoluminescence (PL) emission spectrum of it exhibits an emission maximum at 425nm, which indicates that the polymer emits blue light.

Third – Order Nonlinear Optical Properties of Polysilane Films

open access: yes, 1990
Results are presented from third harmonic generation, (THG), experiments on a number of polysilane films. The polymers studied include poly(di-n-hexylsilylene) PDHS, and copoly(di-n-hexyl, hexylmethylsilylene) PDHS / PHMS. These polymers exhibit positive

The electrical conductivity of polysilane, (SiH2)x

open access: yes, 1983
The d.c. electrical conductivity of polysilane, (SiH2) x, as compressed discs, has been measured at 298 K; values of the conductivity lie in the range 10-7-10-11 O-1 cm-1 for pristine samples of polysilane.

New hybrid polysilane/polysiloxane nanocomposites

open access: yes, 1996
Polysilanes are saturated organosilicon macromolecules which display polyene-like electronic properties derived from {sigma}-bond delocalization along the catenated silicon backbone.

Electronic Structure Engineering via On-Plane Chemical Functionalization: A Comparison Study on Two-Dimensional Polysilane and Graphane

open access: yes, 2016
Two-dimensional materials are important for electronics applications. A natural way of electronic structure engineering for two-dimensional systems is on-plane chemical functionalization. On the basis of density functional theory, we study the electronic
