ANALYSIS THE FORMULA OF STRESS INTENSITY FACTORS FOR THE COMPACT TENSION SHEAR TEST

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2021
The Compact Tension Shear( CTS) specimen proposed by Richard is a commonly test type used in mixed ModeI/II loading. The formula of stress intensity factors( SIFs) for the CTS test has already given by relevant literature.

Perspectives on the viscoelasticity and flow behavior of entangled linear and branched polymers

open access: yes, 2015
We briefly review the recent advances in the rheology of entangled polymers and identify emerging research trends and outstanding challenges, especially with respect to branched polymers. Emphasis is placed on the role of well-characterized model systems,

Enhanced Electrochemiluminescence from 3D Nanocavity Electrode Arrays

open access: yesSensors and Actuators Reports, 2022
3D arrays comprising interconnected voids have been created using nanosphere lithography (2000≤diameter≤240 nm) followed by electrodeposition of gold. The top surface was blocked with 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid and then the templating polystyrenes were ...

Enhancing Plastic Decomposition in Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor): The Role of Nutritional Amino Acids and Water

open access: yesAdvanced Energy & Sustainability Research
Certain insects, such as mealworms (Tenebrio molitor), have shown the ability to effectively biodecompose plastic waste under environmentally benign conditions.

Nanoscale dielectric properties of insulating thin films: From single point measurements to quantitative images [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Dielectric relaxation (DR) has shown to be a very useful technique to study dielectric materials like polymers and other glass formers, giving valuable information about the molecular dynamics of the system at different length and time scales.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Recycled Polystyrene Waste to Triboelectric Nanogenerators: Volumetric Electromechanically Responsive Laminates from Same‐Material Contact Electrification

open access: yesAdvanced Energy & Sustainability Research
Millions of tonnes of polystyrene (PS) are produced annually, with only an estimated 12% being recycled. Herein, the upcycling of expanded or foamed PS waste into electromechanically responsive triboelectric laminates (TLs) is described.

Dynamics of Star Polymers in Fast Extensional Flow and Stress Relaxation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We confirm the observation from Ianniruberto and Marrucci [ Macromolecules 2013, 46, 267-275 ] that entangled melts of branched polystyrenes behave like linear polystyrenes in the steady state of fast extensional flow, by measuring a linear, an ...

Antibiofilm activity of a chionodracine‐derived peptide by NMR‐based metabolomics of cell‐free supernatant of Acinetobacter baumannii clinical strains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KHS‐Cnd peptide is able to impair biofilm formation and disaggregate mature biofilms in Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates. Differences in extracellular metabolites reflect changes in biofilm metabolism due to KHS‐Cnd treatment. Among the differentially represented extracellular metabolites upon KHS‐Cnd treatment, the significantly altered ...

Polystyrene grafted onto high-cis-1,4 polybutadiene backbone via 'living' radical polymerization with 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl-1-oxy (TEMPO) radical

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2011
A stable nitroxide radical (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl-1-oxy, TEMPO) was employed to a grafting polymerization of styrene onto the high-cis-1,4 polybutadiene (PB) rubber initiated by 1,1-bis(tert-butylperoxy)cyclohexane (DP275B).
