Preparation of highly fluorinated polyurethanes [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
New polyurethanes, formed from a reaction of a prepolymer diol and a perfluorinated diisocyanate, are nonflammable and possess high corrosion resistance and good low temperature flexibility.

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Nonflammable organic adhesives effective over wide temperature range [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Series of highly fluorinated polyurethanes have been prepared as basis for development of nonflammable structural adhesives for use over wide temperature range. Backbone of polyurethanes is polyether of perfluoropropylene oxide.

Geometrically Templated, Ultra‐Lightweight and High Strength Soap Films from Lyotropic Liquid Crystalline Graphene Oxide/Polymer Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellular materials form spontaneously by dip coating the primitive triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) wireframe in an aqueous solution of lyotropic liquid crystalline graphene oxide (GO) nanosheets mixed with polymers. Regulated by surface tension, GO nanosheets align on the polymer soap film as the stress builds up during drying.

Encapsulating Zinc Powder in MXene/Silk Scaffolds with Zincophilic‐Hydrophobic Polymer for Flexible Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work develops flexible zinc‐ion batteries (FZIBs) using a zincophilic/hydrophobic polymer (thermoplastic polycarbonate‐based polyurethane, TPCU) to protect Zn powder anodes and MXene/Silk (MXS) as flexible current collectors. The designed TPCU‐ZnP@MXS structure enables uniform Zn deposition, yielding dendrite‐free anodes with stable cycling ...

Les lipides : une matière première alternative pour la synthèse de polymères de spécialités

open access: yesOléagineux, Corps gras, Lipides, 2012
Currently, the dependence of the chemical industry on fossil fuels is very important (95 % of chemicals from fossil fuels). In addition, the scarcity of nonrenewable resources is one – with climate change, pollution, increasing population, limited water ...

Polyurethanes from fluoroalkyl propyleneglycol polyethers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
A description is given of highly stable polyurethane polymers prepared by reacting a polyether with a diisocyanate. Compounded stocks of these polymers may be shaped and cured in conventional equipment used in the rubber industry.
