Polyoxometalate as Hydrogen-Electron Hub in Metal-Organic Complex for Electrocatalytic Nitrate Reduction to Ammonia. [PDF]
To tackle low electrocatalytic nitrate reduction to ammonia efficiency in neutral media, this work designs chain‐like dinuclear/trinuclear polyoxometalate‐based metal‐organic complexes. Metal clusters provide nitrate adsorption/activation sites, while polyoxometalates (POMs) drive water dissociation to generate active hydrogen (*H) that migrates to ...

Evaluation of LL-37 in healing of hard-to-heal venous leg ulcers: A multicentric prospective randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial. [PDF]
Abstract Many patients with venous leg ulcers do not reach complete healing with compression treatment alone, which is current standard care. This clinical trial HEAL LL‐37 was a phase IIb double‐blind, randomized, placebo‐controlled study, with the aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a new drug LL‐37 for topical administration, in combination ...

Examining Stroke Symptom Messages Implemented Globally: A Need for Contextually Relevant Stroke Symptom Messaging. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Background Stroke is a global health concern. A timely response to a stroke can help reduce morbidity and mortality. However, barriers to timely response include poor recognition of stroke symptoms. Stroke symptom messages are designed to increase stroke recognition and encourage individuals to seek urgent medical assistance.

Response of habitat quality to mixed severity disturbance regime in Norway spruce forests
Our results demonstrate that currently intensifying natural disturbance regime can consequently result in a lower habitat heterogeneity. In managed spruce forests after natural disturbances, we recommend at least the partial retention of biological legacies to preserve habitat heterogeneity and to avoid uniform and dense plantations resulting in a ...

Plant–soil feedbacks in a diverse grassland: Soil remembers, but not too much
The authors showed that plant‐induced soil legacies of a dominant species can be altered by legacies of co‐occurring plants, complicating plant–soil feedbacks in diverse communities. Despite the detectable legacy effects on final plant biomass, in the short term, plant growth responds more strongly to the levels of available nutrients.
