Inheritance of Thornlessness in Trifoliate Orange[Poncirus trifoliata(L.) Raf.].
The inheritance of a thornless characteristic in trifoliate orange was studied. Ten-month-old seedlings of the progenies that were obtained from selfing and crossing of the trifoliate orange strains, including thornless ones, which were observed for development of thorns, were classified into a thorny or thornless type.

Citrus scab symptoms were observed on leaves of trifoliate orange (Poncirus trifoliata) in open field of Citrus Research Institute, National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science. Typical scab pustules were formed and they were elevated protuberances form and light brown to grey.

ABSTRACT In July 2021, desert rose plants were consistently observed with symptoms of brown spots on the leaves, which coalesced and promoted leaf fall. The causal agent of the disease was unknown. This study aimed to identify the pathogen responsible for the symptoms through morphological and molecular characterisation, as well as pathogenicity tests.

Summary Cold stress significantly affects the growth and productivity of tomatoes. Despite the known involvement of jasmonate (JA) in cold stress responses, the underlying mechanism remains to be elucidated. Here, we observed that JA peaked 24 h after cold treatment.
