Efficient Separation and Purification of Oligosaccharides: A Systematic Review on Principles and Applications of Membrane Separation Technology

open access: yesFood Bioengineering, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 290-313, June 2026.
Membrane separation provides a green and scalable route for oligosaccharide purification. This review summarizes the complementary roles of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis, with emphasis on membrane selection, optimization of operating conditions, fouling control, and integrated cascade design for improving purity,

Genomic Offset Analyses: Mind Your Climate Variables

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology Communications, Volume 1, Issue 2, June 2026.
Recent methods based on genomic offset (GO) statistics aim to quantify the risk of non‐adaptation of populations to future climates. This study assesses how well genomic offset values correspond to population variation in fitness, depending on the methods and climate data used.

Photorespiration as a Thermal Protection Mechanism in Trees: Measurements, Assumptions, and Persistent Gaps

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology Communications, Volume 1, Issue 2, June 2026.
Conceptual framework linking leaf‐level photorespiratory biochemistry to global‐scale uncertainty in carbon cycle modelling. Rubisco acts as a temperature‐sensitive biochemical switch: At optimal temperatures (~25°C) carboxylation dominates and drives biomass accumulation, whereas heat stress (> 35°C) favours oxygenation and initiates photorespiration (

Functional diversity in agricultural landscapes: evidence of long‐term clustering and multi‐scale effects of land use on avian communities

open access: yesOikos, Volume 2026, Issue 6, June 2026.
Functional diversity (FD) is an essential community property connecting biodiversity, ecosystem functioning, and conservation objectives. In agricultural landscapes, avian communities, which play key functional roles, are facing large‐scale biodiversity erosion, largely due to land‐use changes.

Valorization of Poplar Wood Wastes Into 3D‐Printed Soya Oil‐Based Composites by Vat Photopolymerization for Interior Design

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 11, Page 2351-2367, 1 June 2026.
Bio‐based polymer composites were 3D printed by LCD vat photopolymerization using acrylate epoxidized soybean oil as the monomer and isobornyl methacrylate as the reactive diluent. Two different poplar powders derived from plywood processing waste were incorporated within the photocurable formulations.
