Controlling a random population [PDF]

open access: yesLogical Methods in Computer Science, 2020
AbstractBertrand et al. introduced a model of parameterised systems, where each agent is represented by a finite state system, and studied the following control problem: for any number of agents, does there exist a controller able to bring all agents to a target state?

Controlling a Population

open access: yesCoRR, 2017
We introduce a new setting where a population of agents, each modelled by a finite-state system, are controlled uniformly: the controller applies the same action to every agent. The framework is largely inspired by the control of a biological system, namely a population of yeasts, where the controller may only change the environment common to all cells.

Attitudes towards urban stray cats and managing their population in India: a pilot study

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science, 2023
Life in contemporary cities is often dangerous for stray cats, with strikingly low survival rates. In several countries, trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs have been employed to control urban stray cat populations.
