Atmospheric warming, combined with projected atmospheric carbon dioxide (ab. CO2) level arising, may have marked ecological effects on growth of agricultural crop plants, and in turn affect the higher trophic level of insect herbivores.

Plant–pollinator population dynamics
Theoretical Population Biology, 2010We formulate and analyze a multi-generation population dynamics model for pollinators' mutualism with plants. The centerpiece of our model is an analytical expression for population-level plant-pollinator interactions extrapolated from a model of individual-level flowers and bees interactions.

Fitness landscape analysis (FLA) is an important approach for studying how hard problems are for metaheuristic algorithms to solve. Static FLA focuses on extracting the properties of a problem and does not consider any information about the optimization ...

This chapter evaluates various methods for inferring how phenotypes/genotypes influence population dynamics, including extensions of the year-by-year tracking approach used in analyzing the eco-to-evo side of eco-evolutionary dynamics. It provides a detailed outline of the various possibilities, including complexities that move beyond population ...

Population increase, stability, or decrease are expressions of social forces and human interaction with the environment. Children's social and economic role varies from class to class and presents potential parents with an inverse proportion quandary: an extra member of the group versus the financial difficulties involved in bringing up an extra child,
