Porcelain for Veneers

Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, 1998
Abstract: An ideal porcelain veneer placed on a non‐discolored tooth requires the least amount of tooth preparation and the use of a translucent porcelain that interferes minimally with the transmission of light. In contrast, veneering a discolored tooth requires additional tooth preparation and the use of a chromatic or opacious porcelain.

Porcelain gallbladder

Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, 2002
To discuss the case of a porcelain gallbladder found incidentally in a patient with low back and heel pain.A 70-year-old woman had low back pain, numbness in the left lower leg, and sharp pain in her left heel. Plain films of the lumbar spine necessitated diagnostic abdominal ultrasound, the findings of which were consistent with porcelain gallbladder ...

CAN THE OPAQUE PORCELAIN AND DENTIN PORCELAIN BE SUBSTITUTED IN TITANIUM–PORCELAIN PROSTHETIC?

Surface Review and Letters, 2017
Due to the biocompatibility, mechanical strength and esthetics properties, titanium–porcelain prosthetic plays an important role in prosthodontics. However, weak bonding strength and considerable thickness of the porcelain restrict its application. Whether we can find a method to increase the bonding strength and reduce the thickness of the porcelain ...

Porcelain heart

Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, 2011
Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) was the leading-cause of death in individual aged 5-20 years a century ago. Developments in diagnosis and treatment, decreased the incidence of RHD and dropped its mortality-rate to less than 10% since the 1960s. Despite the existence of proven preventive strategies in early detection and management of rheumatic fever (RF),
