Characterization of mechanical properties of porcelain tile using ultrasonics

2011
Ultrasound affords a very useful and versatile non-destructive method, using a large application area, for evaluating the microstructure and mechanical properties of materials. In this study, porcelain tiles were sintered at different temperatures to change their porosity.

Use of Alternative Pegmatite İn Tile And Glazed Porcelain Tile Body Formulations

2015

Use of rhyolite as flux in porcelain tile production

2019
The use of rhyolite from a local source as an alternative fluxing agent in a commercial porcelain stoneware formulation was investigated. The experimental work was achieved in two parts: in the first part, standard tests were applied to the porcelain tiles obtained from the experimental bodies incorporated with varying amounts of rhyolite (up to 12 wt.
