Analysis of full-length genomes of porcine teschovirus (PTV) and the effect of purifying selection on phylogenetic trees

Archives of Virology, 2016
To study the outcome of natural selection using phylogenetic trees, we analyzed full-length genome sequences of porcine teschovirus (PTV). PTV belongs to the family Picornaviridae and has a positive-stranded RNA genome, the replication of which is carried out by the error-prone viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase.

Construction and characterization of a full-length cDNA infectious clone of emerging porcine Teschovirus-2

Porcine teschovirus (PTV) is a causative agent of polio, encephalomyelitis, reproductive disorders, and gastrointestinal and respiratory diseasesin swine. In this study, the PTV-2 GX/2020 strain was isolated from pig intestinal tissue using ST cells. Phylogenetic analysis of VP1 nucleotide sequences indicated that the GX/2020 strain was closely related
