Microlejeunea miocenica sp. nov. (Porellales, Jungermanniopsida) in Dominican amber, the first fossil of a subcosmopolitan genus of leafy liverworts

Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 2015
Abstract We describe a lejeuneoid liverwort preserved in Miocene Dominican amber. The plants creep on bark, have zig-zagged stems, entire-margined suberect leaves with large lobules with a curved apical tooth at the free margin, small, bifid underleaves with forward-directed lobes, and winged female bracts.

Size doesn´t matter—recircumscription of Microlejeunea (Lejeuneaceae, Porellales) based on molecular and morphological evidence

Phytotaxa, 2013
Phylogenetic analyses of a three marker dataset of Lejeuneaceae (chloroplast genome rbcL gene and trnL-F region, and nuclear ribosomal ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 region) resolve the “Lejeunea complex” in three main lineages assigned here to Harpalejeunea, Lejeunea and Microlejeunea. The taxa Harpalejeunea fischeri, H. filicuspis, H.

Lepidolejeunea grandiocellata sp. nov. (Lejeuneaceae, Porellales), a New Leafy Liverwort from the West Indies Based on Morphological and Molecular Evidence

Cryptogamie, Bryologie, 2017
Lepidolejeunea grandiocellata, sp. nov. is described for two specimens from the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. This delicate species is characterized by ocelli in basal parts of leaves, underleaves, bracteoles and bracts often being conspicuously larger than the surrounding cells, whereas ocelli in central and upper parts of these structures are more or ...

Integrative Taxonomy Substantiates the Presence of ThreeRadulaSpecies in Austria:Radula Complanata, R. Lindenbergiana, andR.visianica(Porellales, Jungermanniopsida)

Cryptogamie, Bryologie, 2017
A chloroplast DNA phylogeny of Radula substantiates the presence of three Radula species in Austria, R. complanata, R. lindenbergiana and R. visianica, all members of subg. Radula. Radula visianica has been observed at a few localities in the Austrian Alps, and is resolved in a sister relationship with a clade comprising R. complanata, R.
