Pore gradient electrophoresis

Analytical Biochemistry, 1971
Abstract Gel gradient electrophoresis has been proposed as a method for improving resolution and for measuring molecular size. Margolis and Slater have suggested that each macro-ion will reach a “pore limit” or “dead stop” and that the protein pattern would remain essentially stable thereafter.

Aggregated Dilated Pores

The Journal of Dermatology, 1999
AbstractWe report a 74‐year‐old Japanese man who had a 10‐year history of approximately 20 open comedones crowded onto his lateral neck. An excisional biopsy revealed that each comedo was histologically a dilated pore. Dilated pores are usually solitary. The multiple and aggregated dilated pores seen in our case have never been reported.

Puzzling Penile Pore

Australasian Journal of Dermatology, 1973
SUMMARY An unusual case of a dilated pore presenting on the dorsal surface of the glans penis is described. A peculiar periorificial elastosis was noted histologically. The literature of dilated pores is reviewed, and the possible pathogenesis is explored.
