Neutrino properties and the decay of the lightest supersymmetric particle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Supersymmetry with broken R-parity can explain the neutrino mass squared differences and mixing angles observed in neutrino oscillation experiments. In the minimal model, where R-parity is broken only by bilinear terms, certain decay properties of the ...

Direct Synthesis of High‐Valence Protein@UiO‐66 Composites: Linking Crystallization Pathways to Protein Encapsulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work reports a direct, biocompatible method to synthesize UiO‐66, enabling one‐step encapsulation of proteins without compromising crystallinity or activity. Using advanced in situ and ex situ techniques, the study reveals that proteins integrate concurrently with MOF growth, forming crystalline protein@UiO‐66 nanoparticles, and provide insight ...

The use of small angle neutron scattering with contrast matching and variable adsorbate partial pressures in the study of porosity in activated carbons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The porosity of a typical activated carbon is investigated with small angle neutron scattering (SANS), using the contrast matching technique, by changing the hydrogen/deuterium content of the absorbed liquid (toluene) to extract the carbon density at ...

Breaking the Toughness‐Stretchability Trade‐Off in Hydrogels with Dynamic Hydrogen Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel nanocomposite hydrogel architecture overcomes the inherent conflict between toughness and stretchability by integrating uniformly dispersed aminopropyl‐hybrid‐phyllosilicate nanosheets within a polyacrylamide matrix. This design leverages a dynamic hydrogen‐bonding network to facilitate efficient energy dissipation and self‐recovery.

Dynamic Covalent Networks of Molecular Clusters for Hard and Impact‐Resistant Glass with Feasible Processability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Molecular granular material glass is fabricated by crosslinking sub‐nm POSS clusters with dynamic borate ester bonding while the materials combine high transparency, modulus, and hardness with superior impact resistance and (re)processability, offering a promising strategy for creating robust yet highly processable organic glasses.

Improved predictions for intermediate and heavy supersymmetry in the MSSM and beyond

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2017
For a long time, the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) with light masses for the supersymmetric states was considered as the most natural extension of the Standard Model of particle physics. Consequently, a valid approximation was to match the

SMALL-ANGLE SCATTERING OF NEUTRONS ON Sr2FeMoO6–δ SAMPLES WITH DIFFERENT-DEGREE SUPERSTRUCTURAL ORDERING OF Fe/Mo CATIONS

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2020
Single-phase Sr2FeMoO6-δ samples with different-degreesuperstructiral ordering Fe/Mo cations superstructural ordering (P, 76, 86 and 93 %) were obtained by the solid-phase technique.

Enhancing $h \to \gamma \gamma$ with staus in SUSY models with extended gauge sector

open access: yes, 2012
We discuss the impact on the stau masses of the additional D-terms in U(1)-extended MSSM models. We show, explicitly for the B-L-SSM, that these contributions can play a crucial role in the explanation of the enhanced diphoton decay rate of a SM-like ...

Spin‐contrast‐variation small‐angle neutron scattering study of fully and partially swollen silica‐filled rubber

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, EarlyView.
We have elucidated the polymer adsorption layer structure in filler–rubber systems by conducting spin‐contrast‐variation small‐angle neutron scattering on partially and fully swollen filler–rubber samples with and without a silane coupling agent. We have elucidated the polymer adsorption layer structure in filler–rubber systems by conducting spin ...
