Porosity of refractories

Refractories, 1967
To improve the quality control of refractory products we recommend that a study be made of the economic advantages of incorporating the term total porosity in standards and technical specifications alongside apparent porosity, and that the channel porosity and dimensions of channel pores for certain Soviet fireclay refractory products be determined.

Dimensions and Porosities

2010
We give a short overview of dimensional properties of porous sets and measures. A special emphasis is given to the heuristic ideas behind a recent result giving the best possible upper bound for the packing dimension of mean porous measures. This chapter is based on the paper Beliaev et al. (J Lond Math Soc, 2009), which is a joint work with D. Beliaev,

The Porosity of the Body

2017

They evoke an intimate, even erotic, connection between the inner landscape of the body and the outer landscape of mountains and rivers. This connection is captured by the Daoist term “pervasion” which denotes the fundamental connective process

Porosity and Saturation

1989
Porosity is one of the most important rock properties that can be calculated from well log data. It gives the rock’s capacity to store oil or gas. Thus far, I have referred to porosity as the void space in the rock. A rock such as chalk may be nearly half void space, but the pores are usually so small that they cannot be seen without suitable ...
