Adsorption of nitrogen by porous and non-porous carbons

Carbon, 1987
Abstract Nitrogen isotherms have been determined at 77 K on a number of carbon blacks and microporous carbons. Application of the Dubinin-Radushkevich (DR) method has shown that linear plots are given by both nonporous and microporous samples. The range of linearity is considerably reduced by increasing the micropore size, while graphitisation of ...

Phenol adsorption on porous and non-porous carbons

Carbon, 2003
Phenol physisorption on a series of porous and non-porous amorphous carbons was studied at 298 K. Grand Canonical Monte Carlo computer simulations were performed to simulate phenol adsorption from the gas phase. Phenol is adsorbed in a solid-like state within the pores and there is no well-developed multilayer regime. The ‘t’ plot method was adapted to

Biomechanical investigations of bone‐porous carbon and porous metal interfaces

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1973
AbstractThe mechanical strengths of four types of ingrown porous carbon and two types of porous metal bone implants were correlated with the type of osseous ingrowth into the porous interfaces. Intracortical cylinders were implanted into canine long bones and examined at 3, 6, and 12 weeks.

Fabrication of porous carbon nanotube network

Chemical Communications, 2008
We used the spin-coating method combined with ultrasonic atomization as a continuous, one-step process to generate a two-dimensional honeycomb network that was constructed from pure multi-walled carbon nanotubes.
