Asymmetry of cross kinetic coefficients in the cell model of a charged membrane [PDF]
Theoretical study was performed earlier for the cell model of a charged porous membrane based on Onsager’s approach and the result was calculation of all electrokinetic coefficients.

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

A Subgrid-Scale Model for Turbulent Flow in Porous Media
Given the analogy between the filtered equations of large eddy simulation and volume-averaged Navier–Stokes equations in porous media, a subgrid-scale model is presented to account for the residual stresses within the porous medium. The proposed model is

Hydrodynamic dispersion within porous biofilms [PDF]
Many microorganisms live within surface-associated consortia, termed biofilms, that can form intricate porous structures interspersed with a network of fluid channels.

Natural convection and the evolution of a reactive porous medium
We describe a mathematical model of buoyancy-driven flow and solute transport in a saturated porous medium, the porosity and permeability of which evolve through precipitation and dissolution as a mineral is lost or gained from the pore fluid. Imposing a

A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Numerical Study of the Three-Dimensional Laminar Flow around a Cubic Metal Foam Cell [PDF]
The present study examines numerically a three-dimensional (3D) laminar and stationary flow around an idealized metal foam cell shaped as an empty cube with cylindrical edges.
