Physical Simulation and Mathematical Model of the Porous Flow Characteristics of Gas-Bearing Tight Oil Reservoirs [PDF]
The separation of solution gas has great influence on the development of gas-bearing tight oil reservoirs. In this study, physical simulation and high-pressure mercury intrusion were used to establish a method for determining the porous flow resistance gradient of gas-bearing tight oil reservoirs.

Externally Pressurized Oil Bearings with Porous Ceramics Materials.
In the field of hydrostatic bearings, the porous resistor has been adopted only in air bearings. Here, we tried to apply the porous ceramics, the surface of which is not crushed by machining, to hydrostatic journal bearings for incompressible fluid. The equations derived to calculate the bearing performance are effective for bearing types of both with ...

Externally pressurized thrust oil bearing with porous material. (On the bearing with land surface).
As a working medium of the externally pressurized porous bearing, air is generally used. The reason why liquid is not adopted is due to the high flow resistance of usual porous materials for the bearing. Lately, a new porous metal made by pressure casting has been developed.

An oil film formed in a bearing clearance is experimentally investigated to explicate the mechanism of lubrication in porous journal bearings. To visualize the oil film, a porous bronze bearing impregnated with a fluorescent-dyed oil is used for the test bearing, and the oil film is rendered visible by a pair of ultraviolet lamps.
