PMP(Porphyrin–Micelle–PSMA) Nanoparticles for Photoacoustic and Ultrasound Signal Amplification in Mouse Prostate Cancer Xenografts

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2021
Photoacoustic (PA) imaging is used widely in cancer diagnosis. However, the availability of PA agents has not made great progress due to the limitations of the one currently in use, porphyrin.

Oxygels: Tunable Phosphorescent Hydrogels for Cherenkov‐Excited Luminescence Imaging (CELI) of Oxygen

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Biocompatible hydrogels with covalently embedded near‐infrared phosphorescent probes enable local tissue pO2 quantification by means of Cherenkov‐excited luminescence imaging (CELI), where optical excitation occurs within tissues upon irradiation with high‐energy electron beams.

Azaporphyrinoid‐Based Photo‐ and Electroactive Architectures for Advanced Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A long‐standing collaboration between the Torres and Guldi groups has yielded diverse azaporphyrinoid‐based donor‐acceptor nanohybrids with promising applications in solar energy conversion. This conspectus highlights key molecular platforms and structure‐function relationships that govern light and charge management, supporting the rational design of ...

Interlocked Porphyrin Switches [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, 2013
AbstractWe describe the synthesis of a series of interlocked structures from porphyrin–glycoluril cage compounds and bis(olefin)‐terminated viologens by an olefin‐metathesis protocol. The length of the chain connecting the olefin substituents with the viologen has a marked effect on the products of the ring‐closure reaction.

A New Modified Electrode with a Copolymer of Aniline/Fe(III)-Tetrakis(Para-Aminophenyl)Porphyrin: Test of Its Electrocatalytic Activity Toward the Reduction of Molecular Oxygen and Oxidation of Ascorbic Acid and Sulfite Ion.

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2012
The simultaneous electropolymerization of aniline and Fe-porphyrin in HCl by cycling the potential on glassy carbon (GC) and highly ordered pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) electrodes was studied by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy ...

Decoupling Activation and Preservation: Architectural Design Principles of Organic Frameworks for Selective Photocatalytic Methane Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Selective methane (CH4) photooxidation emerges from architectural decoupling of activation and preservation. Programmable organic semiconductor frameworks spatially organize oxidative flux and intermediate residence, separating reaction zones from product domains to synchronize activation strength with stabilization and establish a selective oxidation ...

Zinc(II)-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(α-pyridino-m-tolyl)porphyrin Tetrabromide

open access: yesMolbank, 2009
Cationic porphyrins interact strongly with guanine quadruplex (G-quadruplex) DNA. We report the preparation of the zinc(II) complex of a porphyrin bearing cationic side arms, zinc(II)-5,10,15,20-tetrakis(α-pyridino-m-tolyl)porphyrin tetrabromide (ZnmPy),

En Route to a Chiral Melanin: The Dynamic “From-Imprinted-to-Template” Supramolecular Role of Porphyrin Hetero-Aggregates During the Oxidative Polymerization of L-DOPA

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2020
Chiral porphyrin hetero-aggregates, produced from meso-tetrakis(4-N-methylpyridyl) porphyrin H2T4 and copper(II) meso-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphyrin CuTPPS by an imprinting effect in the presence of L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA), are shown ...
