Fluid evolution of the Tongkuangyu porphyry copper deposit in the Zhongtiaoshan region: Evidence from fluid inclusions [PDF]
AbstractThe Tongkuangyu copper deposit in the Zhongtiaoshan region, southern Trans-North China orogen, is hosted by a poorly constrained sequence of Paleoproterozoic volcano-sedimentary (quartz-sericite schist and biotite schist) and granitic rocks that have been metamorphosed to lower greenschist facies and variably deformed.

Oxidized sulfur-rich arc magmas formed porphyry Cu deposits by 1.88 Ga [PDF]
Tectonomagmatic conditions in the Precambrian were hypothesized to be unfavorable for porphyry Cu deposit formation. Here, the authors show that metallogenic processes typify Phanerozoic porphyry Cu deposits operated by ~1.88 Ga, reflecting modification ...

Constraints on ore vectoring from geochemical fingerprints of porphyry style pyrite [PDF]
The sulfur isotope compositions of three generations of pyrite originated from skarns, stockwork, and late-stage, post-hydrothermal veins from three various zones of the porphyry style Myszków Mo–Cu–W deposit (center, circum-deposit, and periphery) were ...

Contrasting mineralized and barren porphyries in the Zhongdian Arc, insights from biotite and apatite compositions and halogen fugacity [PDF]
Copper mineralization in the Pulang (PL) porphyry deposit, Langdu (LD) porphyry-skarn deposit and Songnuo (SN) porphyry prospect in northwestern Yunnan, China, is closely related to the emplacement of quartz monzonite porphyries.

Determination of oxygen fugacity from ore-bearing magma responsible for Gazu copper mineralization: Cerium data in zircon mineral [PDF]
Porphyry Cu deposits are typically oxidized. Oxygen fugacity (fO2) is a key factor, which controls the formation of porphyry Cu deposits. Trace element compositions of Cretaceous magmatic zircon grains (65.9-65.1 Ma) were determined from ore-bearing ...

Supergiant porphyry Cu deposits are failed large eruptions [PDF]
Abstract Porphyry copper deposits, the principal natural source of Cu and Mo, form at convergent margins. Copper is precipitated from fluids associated with cooling magmas that have formed in the mantle and evolved at variably deep crustal levels, before raising close to the surface where they exsolve fluids and copper.

Fahlores from Porphyry Cu–(Mo) Deposits of the Urals
The paper describes chemistry of tetrahedrite group minerals from three porphyry deposits of the Urals: Mikheevskoe and Tomino porphyry copper deposits on the South Urals and Talitsa Mo porphyry deposit on the Middle Urals. In the deposits studied tetrahedrite group minerals deposited either with late mineral assemblages of the porphyry stage or within

Igneous breccia system of the Shand porphyry Cu-Mo deposit, Northern Mongolia
The Shand Cu-Mo deposit is located in the Orkhon-Selenge depression, Northern Mongolia. It lies near the Erdenetiin Ovoo porphyry Cu-Mo deposit, which together define one of Northern Mongolian’s most economically significant metallogenic belts.
