Copper–zinc albite porphyry in the Hersai porphyry copper deposit, East Junggar, China: A transition between late magmatic and hydrothermal porphyry copper deposit

open access: yesOre Geology Reviews, 2014
Abstract A 418 Ma albite porphyry dike emplaced in a 429 Ma granite pluton in the Hersai porphyry copper deposit (Nom, East Junggar, China) consists of euhedral and pale-orange luminescing albite phenocrysts and groundmass, zircons, blue-violet luminescing apatites and chalcopyrite–sphalerite-rich miarolitic cavities.

Summary of space imagery studies in Utah and Nevada [PDF]

open access: yes
The author has identified the following significant results. An enhanced enlargement of a S190B color image at a scale of 1/19,200 of the Bingham porphyry copper deposit has compared a geological map of the area with the space imagery map as fair for the

Geology of a Part of the Panamint Range, California [PDF]

open access: yes, 1932
The Panamint Range is a tilted fault-block, uplifted probably in Tertiary time and rejuvenated by very complex recent faulting on the west. This great block is approximately 100 miles long, but the reconnaissance geologic map covers only a tract in the ...

Geophysical exploration of disseminated and stockwork deposits associated with plutonic intrusive rock: a case study on the eastern flank of Colombia’s western cordillera

open access: yesEarth Sciences Research Journal, 2012
<p>Disseminated deposits are low-grade, large tonnage deposits which are mainly mined for gold, copper, molybdenum and tin. These deposits are normally associated with intermediate to acid plutonic intrusive rocks and all are characterized by ...

Porphyry-type copper deposits, eastern Victoria

open access: yesASEG Extended Abstracts, 1999
"Most occurrences of porphyry-type copper mineralisation in Victoria are within the Lachlan Fold Belt in eastern Victoria. Chalcopyrite, chalcocite and pyrite are the main ore minerals. Molybdenum is sometimes present. The mineralised intrusions include the Bete Belong Suite (Double Bull Creek, Sunday Creek, Stringer Knob and Mount Buck prospects), the
