Imaging of Biphoton States: Fundamentals and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum states of two photons exhibit a rich polarization and spatial structure, which provides a fundamental resource of strongly correlated and entangled states. This review analyzes the physics of these intriguing properties and explores the various techniques and technologies available to measure them, including the state of the art of their ...

Reduction of quantum noise in optical interferometers using squeezed light

open access: yes, 2010
We study the photon counting noise in optical interferometers used for gravitational wave detection. In order to reduce quantum noise a squeezed vacuum state is injected into the usually unused input port. Here, we specifically investigate the so called `

Port choice by intra-regional container service operators : an application of decision-making techniques to liner services between Malaysian and other Asian ports [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Intra-regional container service operators are challenged to design regular and reliable liner services connecting regional ports at the lowest cost and shortest transit time while considering customer demand. This paper focuses on the selection of ports

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Overcoming Network Security on Host-Based Intrusion Detection System (HIDS) With IP and PORT Blocking Methods

open access: yesJurnal Jaringan Telekomunikasi, 2023
Network security is important to maintain security on a network, the data and information contained in it. Based on the protection of data/information security in a network, generally all data-based security theories are created and applied to secure a ...

Demonstration of 3-port grating phase relations

open access: yes, 2006
We experimentally demonstrate the phase relations of 3-port gratings by investigating 3-port coupled Fabry-Perot cavities. Two different gratings which have the same 1st order diffraction efficiency but differ substantially in their 2nd order diffraction

A wideband CPW ring power combiner with low insertion loss and high port isolation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we present a coplanar waveguide (CPW)-based ring power combiner that exhibits less than 0.8 dB insertion loss, better than 15 dB port match and higher than 22 dB isolation loss over the frequency range from 50 GHz to 100 GHz.

Artifact‐Minimizing Ultrathin Transparent Electrodes Fabricated via iCVD for In Vivo Optogenetic Stimulation and Neural Signal Monitoring of Primary Visual Cortex

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present ultrathin flexible transparent electrodes through iCVD‐enabled molecular control of 10 nm gold films on poly(dimethylaminomethylstyrene). In vivo validation demonstrated photoelectric artifact reduction vs. opaque electrodes and preservation of natural neural dynamics.
