Three-dimensional thermal modeling based on the two-port network theory for hybrid or monolithic integrated power circuits

IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging, and Manufacturing Technology: Part A, 1996
This paper recalls how the two-port network theory can be extended to three-dimensional (3-D) conductive heat transfer in multilayered plane structures. Then it is shown how to build efficient computation tools by implementing this theory with help of fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithms.

Reducing the Number of Measurements of a Multiport Circuit Using Covering Designs and Turán Systems

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Technology Letters, 2023
A theory of arrangements of measurements for obtaining the scattering matrix of a $v$ -port circuit using a $k$ -port vector network analyzer (VNA) is developed based on covering designs and Turán systems, which are two kinds of structures in ...

Highly Integrated Hybrid Inductive and Capacitive Power Transfer System With Asymmetrical Printed-Circuit-Board-Based Self-Resonator

IEEE transactions on power electronics
This article presents a highly integrated and compact hybrid wireless power transfer (WPT) system with asymmetrical printed-circuit-board (PCB) based self-resonators. The PCB-based self-resonant coupler consists of four PCB-coil plates with two different

Applying the N-Port Network Theory to Match a Symmetrical Four-Port Antenna to a Two-Port Source

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2019
A general approach to simultaneously match and decouple a symmetrical two-port, four-element antenna system by developing an appropriate six-port tuning network is presented.

Wave Digital Extended Fixed-Point Solvers for Circuits With Multiple One-Port Nonlinearities

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Part 1: Regular Papers
Wave Digital Filter (WDF) theory has been widely used to design nonlinear digital filters that behave like reference analog circuits, especially in the field of Virtual Analog modeling, i.e., the digital emulation of audio circuits.

Frequency and Impedance Response Calculation Method for Equivalent Circuit of Transmission Tower Grounding Electrode

Open Journal of Circuits and Systems
The issue of calculating the frequency and impedance responses of the equivalent circuit of transmission tower grounding bodies over a wide frequency range is addressed in this study. A modeling and analysis method based on the two-port network theory is

A Comprehensive Design Methodology for Broadband Outphasing Power Amplifier Leveraging Three-Port Combining Networks

IEEE transactions on microwave theory and techniques
In this article, a new design method for outphasing power amplifier (OPA) based on three-port network theory is proposed. A compact three-port combining network (TPCN) is constructed according to a scattering matrix to overcome the pre-assumption problem
