Long‐term outcomes of laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB) in Japan were retrospectively evaluated in 28 patients with up to 15 years of follow‐up. LAGB achieved sustained long‐term weight reduction in selected patients; however, recurrence of metabolic comorbidities increased during extended follow‐up.

Multidisciplinary Treatment for Esophagogastric Junction Cancer From a Dutch Perspective
ABSTRACT Esophagogastric junction (EGJ) cancer is an increasing health burden worldwide. Over the past decade, significant advancements in centralization, multimodal treatment strategies, as well as the widespread adoption of minimally invasive surgical techniques, have led to marked improvements in perioperative outcomes and overall survival of EGJ ...

Flow characteristics and regime transitions in fluidization systems of Group C+ particles
Abstract Fine and ultrafine particles are attractive for fluidized bed reactors because their high surface area benefits catalytic processes, but their cohesive nature complicates regime characterization. Nanoparticle modulation improves the flowability of Group C powders, yet their bubbling to turbulent transition remains unclear.

Managing Temporal Knowledge in Port Management Systems
Large ports need to deal with a number of disparate activities:the movement of ships, containers and other cargo, theloading and unloading of ships and containers, customs activities. As well as human resources, anchorages, channels, lighters, tugs, berths, warehouse and other storage spaces have to beallocated and released. The efficient management of a

Abstract This study presents a coupled population balance model (PBM) for describing the degree‐of‐agglomeration (DoA) in crystallization by independently tracking total particle and agglomerate number densities. Applied to an industrial active pharmaceutical ingredient, the model outperformed bridge‐counting methods and accurately captured DoA trends ...

Parametric Analysis of Spiking Neurons in 16 nm Fin Field‐Effect Transistor Technology
Energy efficient computing has driven a shift toward brain‐inspired neuromorphic hardware. This study explores the design of three distinct silicon neuron topologies implemented in 16 nm fin field‐Effect transistor technology. While the Axon‐Hillock design achieves gigahertz throughput, its functional fragility persists. The Morris–Lecar model captures

It is a fact that slippage causes tracking errors in both longitudinal and lateral directions which results to have less travel distance in tracking a reference trajectory. Less travel distance means having energy loss of the battery and carrying loads less than planned.
