Multi‐Layer Transcriptomic Comparison Across Human, Pig, and Mouse Informs Tissue‐ and Trait‐Specific Animal Model Selection

We integrated RNA‐seq data from humans, pigs, and mice across 15 matched tissues based on 14 910 one‐to‐one orthologous genes. Cross‐species similarity was systematically evaluated across multiple regulatory layers, including global co‐expression conservation, co‐expression networks, tissue‐specific programs, and 3D genome architecture.

Hemp Cultivation and Crop Diversification: Implications for Ecosystem Services in Kentucky

ABSTRACT This study examines the ecosystem benefits of expanding hemp cultivation by assessing its impact on crop diversity. Using scenario‐based simulations and fixed‐effect panel regressions with county‐level data in Kentucky, we find that increased hemp acreage tends to enhance crop diversity, improving water quality and bird diversity.

ABSTRACT Federally subsidized crop insurance is a cornerstone of U.S. farm risk management, yet policies with the greatest share of participation only trigger indemnities after losses exceed 15%. Supplemental insurance was introduced to cover part of this deductible, but participation remains largely unchanged.
