On Valuation and Investments of Pension Plans in Discrete Incomplete Markets
We study the valuation of a pension fund’s obligations in a discrete time and space incomplete market model. The market’s incompleteness stems from the non-replicability of the wage process that finances the pension plan through time.

A Semi-Static Replication Method for Bermudan Swaptions under an Affine Multi-Factor Model
We present a semi-static replication algorithm for Bermudan swaptions under an affine, multi-factor term structure model. In contrast to dynamic replication, which needs to be continuously updated as the market moves, a semi-static replication needs to ...

A Survey of Interlayer Interaction Models for Graphene and Other 2D Materials
Van der Waals interactions arising from electronic polarization at atomically close interfaces generate corrugated interlayer energy landscapes that govern normal and tangential tractions. This review presents an overview of quantum, atomistic, analytical, and continuum modeling approaches, highlighting their roles across length scales in capturing ...

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

This work provides a practical guide for neuroengineers to design advanced neural interfaces, embracing and tailoring the concept of functional disorder. By bridging 2D and 3D in vitro models, this work highlights how non‐periodic, spatially heterogeneous, multiscale nanotopography can enable more physiologically relevant platforms for studying neural ...

Precision Lignocellulosic Biorefinery: Process Regulation From Corn Stover to Products
This study presents a precision biorefinery framework that transforms corn stover into high‐value bioproducts through whole‐process regulation. Mechanical fractionation separates feedstock into parenchyma‐rich short fibers and vascular‐bundle‐dominant long fibers.
