Toward new gold(III) anticancer agents. Herein, we report on an indazole‐based gold(III) carboxamide pincer complex exhibiting significant cytotoxicity, likely mediated through dual interactions with DNA. Mechanistic investigations suggest that the complex binds to the DNA and forms specific interactions with nucleotide bases.

Strategies towards synthesis and conversion of lignin model compounds
The push towards a renewable society where the chemicals being used on a daily basis come from sources which are not going to be depleted within the next few decades is highly sought after. Biomass is one of the most promising opportunities to establish self‐sustainability for the human race.

Allosteric Differentiation of Al(I) Reactivity
A dimeric potassium alumanyl reacts with phenyl‐substituted alkynes to provide not only alkyne cycloaddition but also para‐C–H activation of the phenyl substituent. Supported by a theoretical study, this outcome is judged to arise from a sequence of cooperative steps and a mode of kinetic discrimination that is suggested to be allosteric in origin ...

Phosphorylation at the Helm: Kinase‐Mediated Regulation of Primary Cilia Assembly and Disassembly
ABSTRACT The primary cilium serves as an antenna of most vertebrate cells and is important for conveying cues from several signaling pathways into appropriate cellular responses during development and homeostasis. Cilia assembly and disassembly processes are thought to be strictly controlled; however, the precise nature of molecular events underlying ...
