Speed and Power Indices of tests and items

open access: yesRevistamultidisciplinar.com, 2023
A simple index is proposed to measure speed or power components of a test. The index is independent of position of the items and provides necessary and sufficient condition for pure speed test and pure power test and enables testing of statistical ...

Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.

Efficient inter-port cooperation considering port congestion and port charge

open access: yesMaritime Transport Research, 2021
This paper discusses the efficiency of cooperation among ports under congested conditions and determines an approach for strategic cooperation between ports through model analysis. We develop a bilevel optimization model based on the benefit maximization problem of port authorities and cost minimization problem of cargo carriers.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

An analysis of connectivity, assortativity and cluster structure of the Asian-Australasian cruise shipping network

open access: yesMaritime Transport Research, 2022
Cruise lines design their voyages based on specific determinants that influence cruise shipping network formation and connectivity. This study investigated cruise shipping network connectivity using the exponential random graph model (ERGM) and found ...

Port cooperation in the North Adriatic ports [PDF]

open access: yesResearch in Transportation Business & Management, 2018
Recent trends in port development show that ports are making increasing efforts to forge mutually beneficial cooperation strategies, particularly ports sharing a common hinterland. In this paper, we analyse the North Adriatic ports (Koper, Rijeka, Trieste and Venice) with a focus on two related themes.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
