Chromenone derivatives as CRM1 Inhibitors for Targeting Glioblastoma

open access: yesChemBioChem, Accepted Article.
Glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the most aggressive and deadly cancers. Due to the complexity and redundancy within signaling networks in GBM, targeted inhibitors of specific pathways have shown only limited success. The nuclear export receptor Chromosome Region Maintenance 1 (CRM1) has recently emerged as a promising therapeutic target, as its inhibition

Boost of Chiroptical Responses Through the Enhancement of Electron Transition Dipole Moment

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Chiral spirobifluorene systems are peripherally π‐extended via Knoevenagel condensation to boost their electric transition dipole moments (ETDM). A direct ETDM–g‐factor correlation is established through ECD and TD‐DFT analyses. This strategy allows precise control of exciton coupling and chiroptical amplification in rigid π‐conjugated scaffolds ...

Balancing Antigen Loading on Gold Nanoparticles: Implications for Future Cancer Vaccine Strategies

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The synthesis of multicomponent cancer vaccines on AuNP carriers could be rationalized by the simultaneous functionalization of the antigen and immunomodulator components on the same particles. Immunization with a “diluted” amount of MUC1‐functionalized AuNPs is still capable of eliciting a strong immune response.

Optimizing Patient Registries for Regulatory Decision Making ‐ Key Learnings From an HMA/EMA Multistakeholder Workshop

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
The Joint Heads of Medicines Agencies and European Medicines Agency's (HMA/EMA) big data initiative paves the way for better integration of real‐world data, including data from patient registries, into regulatory decisions on medicines. This article focuses on the outcome of a two‐day multistakeholder workshop organized by EMA in 2024, which explored ...
